Testimonials

My endorsement:

Raven Tours provided a very thorough tour of Bhutan.  Most of the hotels were good and some of them were excellent with a spa and wonderful massages and courteous staff.  The roads in Bhutan are under development and are built by human hands and enormous effort.  Until more are paved, the roads are very bumpy.  The drivers are extremely courteous and skilled.  Best to request an SUV or van with the best ride available.  The fresh asparagus, potatoes and other vegetables were delicious. The monasteries and mountains and life style are “out of our world”.  Bhutan is a treasure in the world today.  The concept of Gross National Happiness and the citizens loyalty to the King to participate in this plan for Bhutan is commendable.  I recommend that travelers visit Bhutan and use Raven Tours for a trip of a lifetime.  I would like to revisit in five or ten years.

I would have liked to have lingered at some of the holy sites and perhaps had fewer long drives and more time to sit and meditate in some of the special areas we visited.  The agenda was aggressive.

This was my second visit to Bhutan, and both were organized by Raven Tours and Treks (which tells it all…). Last year I came as a private person to familiarize myself with this still mysterious country which I immediately fell in love with, this year I had a chance to bring a group of 7 other people with me.

Our booking was taken care of quickly, efficiently, precisely, all questions were answered, all minor misunderstandings cleared and amended. From the moment we landed in Paro we were in the best hands of our knowledgeable guide and unbelievable skillful driver. Services provided to foreign tourists in Bhutan (accommodation, meals, transport etc.) are on much higher level than those in other parts of South Asia. Bhutanese (and not only those involved in tourism) are very decent, friendly, straightforward and unpretentious people. Even though it was peak season when we visited this year (early April), we still didn´t feel any pressure or over-organization – just perfect holiday where the visitor is the focus of interest and very warm acceptance.

We spent a week in this amazing kingdom, and for myself I can tell that I will come back and continue in exploration of its other regions. And for that I will definitely use the services of Raven Tours and Treks and its friendly manager, Mr. Deepak Tamang.

Hi Deepak,

We are finally home in our respective countries after “braving” the much publicised Bangkok floods which really did not materialise in the centre of the city although standing water was present at a few BTS stations and the water in the Chao Phraya river was vv high.Certainly nothing like your Incredible India experience.Thank goodness!

We would like to say that we had a wonderful time in your beautiful country. The scenery has been magnificent and the warmth of the people we met along the way really made our trip special from the friendly faces of little boys and girls going to school (or playing with chillies) to Sangay and Taeje who were probably the most concerned and caring guide and driver we have ever had in our many intrepid journeys around the world. We have told them we will probably be talking about them repeatedly next year to our next guide and driver in Sicily (and not to be afraid that our feedback form is 5 pages long,LoL)

Thank you once again for your patience in arranging our memorable holiday in Bhutan and we will certainly recommend Raven tours to our family and friends.

Best regards,

Winnie x 4.
