Real life experience
We have put in a lot of effort in designing our itineraries keeping in mind the needs and wants of our guests; not just the ABCs of every itinerary that one comes across but something more and new and exciting. We keep up to date with the changing scenario in Bhutan and plan our itinerary accordingly. For instance, even the annual national festival 'Tshechu' and 'Dromche' (known for unique and traditional, religious dances) for every Dzongkhag(district) isn't always on the same time and date. It varies yearly, though the season does not. We also add new items to the list as per the recommendation of the guests and the tour guide who happens to chance upon unprecedented festivals and happenings during their tours and trekking together. Besides we also have for our guests adventurous tours like Rafting, Home stays, Community Treks, Butterfly Tours, Bird watching tour, Bhutan textiles tour, Mountain biking tour, and Motorbike tour. All our treks offered here are combination of natural discovery and insight into the unique culture and lifestyle of the people. Our guides also have basic training in trekking and mountaineering techniques and are briefed on all aspects of tourism in Bhutan with special emphasis on the environmental and cultural issues. Our trip to Bhutan was the highlight of our many trips over the last few years. It's a beautiful green peaceful country of friendly people. We (4 people) booked our trip with Raven Tours and Treks, based in Bhutan, which came highly recommended by a reliable source and rightly so. The trip was carefully planned for us in advance considering what we wanted to see and do and the amount of time we had. When our flight was delayed our whole itinerary was rearranged to ensure we missed nothing. All this was done seamlessly. The owner, guide and driver, all being local, are very knowledgeable and accommodating to any change of plan. At no time did we feel we were on a 'package tour' and had to confirm to a schedule. Our only regret is that we didn't see enough of this exotic country. We will be back and will definitely book through Raven Tours.
